Soon I’ll be moving away from home for the first time. To be more specific this “life changing” thing will happen in january. I’ve been very busy studying and have been the worst co-blogger in my opinion! I haven’t had time to see friends and I have been to busy, that I haven’t even called them up! So as I have been the worst co-blogger and not a very good friend I have decided that I can’t go on living like this!

Right now I am studying chemistry and I now feel that I need to step up the game. It is difficult and I really do need to be effective when I study.

Energy High!!

Since I’m currently working like crazy, going to school and trying to have a social life and maybe even go to the gym (yeeaahh once a week??).. I’ve become an expert on how to keep you’re energy level high!! (This and my going to bed at 9 every night… hrm)

Trail-mix: Great for in between meals, when you start to feel tired or just feel hungry… Keeps you going, even if you miss a meal…

Water: ALWAYS carry a water bottle… you don’t want to be dehydrated!

Vitamin C: Always have some vitamin c in you’re bag… when you start to feel tired, put some in you’re water and you’ll feel like you’ve just woken up! (Or at least almost!)

Friends: They are great!! When you feel tired or down, call someone and talk about THEIR day! It makes you forgett how tired you are.. If they are having a bad day GREAT yours is better (heheh).. If they are having a good day even better… they might be able to tell you something fun that picks you up!

and of course…

COFFEEE!! since I work in a coffee shop I find that a chai-latte with an extra shot of espresso does it for me! sugar AND coffee and I’m wide awake!

 

PMS

I’ve got six more weeks of intensive studying. I’m pretty tired of most things but I’ve just decided to fake it till I make it! I feel that I’m growing into a frigid bitch and i’m not sure if that’s completly my fault. Yes I have hurt people but people have hurt me as well, and now i’m just not giving a funk about things. I’ll just keep on doing what I like and what I can! E.g. Staying home a weekend drinking tea watching films because i’m t tired to be responding to everything in my environment… I think I might be unavailable on most fields right now like emotionally/socially … And what is up with the food I’m putting in my mouth! I had cheese in my pasta, and I had chocolate pudding for desert and I keep on sneaking into the kitchen to eat darkchocolate-truffles it is either pre-period, stress or me trying to get out of my bad mood.

Usually people don’t know when I’m in a badmood, but now I am, and now you know. And I’m sorry for wha……. I recently just discovered that this is PMS.

But seriously I’m pretty tired!

My first day

My day started a bit later than Lotte’s, I woke up at 7 o’clock and began my day with “rinsing my nose”, taking loads of vitamins, having a big cup of tea and a sandwich to get ready for work. I packed an apple and “Silent Ocean” in my bag and headed towards the bus station.

As I entered the empty and very new/fresh mall I was baffled – it was coming to nine and no one was there (as we were supposed to start at nine) I went to the dressing room to put on my work clothes and as I came back all my co-workers were there.

There is something about working in a café – I have always had a romanticized image of that (makes me think of the film “Amélie de Poulain”) It is tougher than that. Keeping an eye on everything, fixing a lot of stuff and at the same time as the stress increases with the time of the day (towards afternoon) you have to look calm, be nice, and smile. It is fun but at the same time very tiring. I had my lunch at 4:30pm and started working 9:00am.

Now I have to finish reading “Silent Ocean” as well as thinking and writing what I want to say for “the great presentation” that will be held next monday and finish other studies.

My life is not very glamorous but I do have fun and eat good food and spend my time with lovely people.

Friday night

Friday night I will spend in my bed – reading a book and drinking tea… Meditating and hoping that everything will go well as I start working tomorrow at the coffee-shop.

I’ve just bought Albert & Jack’s Green Tea – A fruity tea with hints of tamarind and strawberry. We have guaranteed with chunks of cantaloupe and strawberry leaves.

What I have noticed about myself is that I always buy chocolate, tea and nuts when I know that I am going to have  a stressful weak and have loads of studying to do and that I always play blues from 1930’s. Last week I spent hours in my bathtub playing Nina Simone as I tried to get my mind straight and focus on how to achieve my goals and to complete my to-do list. It worked!

If you are stressed and need to ease your mind do the following things:
-plan
-make a  to-do list
-keep track of where you put your stuff
-organize, sort, prioritize
-focus (take away distracting things if needed)
-one thing at a time

May someone offer you a piece of chocolate!
